College basketball pace ranges from sub-60 possessions to 80+. Without normalizing per possession, raw point totals are nearly meaningless.
Public models are real
Tempo-adjusted ratings (e.g. KenPom-style models) actually outperform a large share of public bettors. Edges shrink as the season progresses and the market catches up.
